My 14 hour days are over for the week and just have 8 hours to put in today.  I have much to do when the work day is done and I'm anxious to get started.  I need to get the grab bars installed on the Jeep so Jodi can get in and out easier.

My truck needs rear brakes before I can sell it and it will also need a good cleaning.  I kind of hate to sell it but 5 cars for three drivers is too many.

Our Jeep is in the garage and just needs a cleanup before we take it out and update our pictures.  Hopefully we can get that done this weekend after I get off work on Saturday or on Sunday.  It looks pretty sharp and we got a lot of compliments on it while at the shop picking it up.  I still would have liked 37's on it but it'll do for now.

We still need to find a way to mount an LED light bar on the bumper and I'm undecided on a 50" light bar across the top of the roof.  From what I can gather, they tend to whistle from the air movement around and through the light bar and mount.  I don't know how bad it is but I still see a lot of Jeeps with them.

We have been busy with photo shoots and I still have two more to go, today and tomorrow, before I get a two day break.  Working Saturday will limit my available time to do other things this weekend but I won't have to work another until the 27th of August.

We get to pick up our Jeep today and we are looking forward to that.  We are going to stop at the 4WheelParts shop that is nearby so Jodi can see the Poison Spyder Jeep they have on the showroom that has all of the PS parts on it.  I stopped in there last weekend and I really liked the steel flares that they had on it.  They were powdercoated and seemed very strong.  But, they are not cheap!  While I was there, another item I saw that I liked was the red ARB differential cover.  We won;t have a lot of time to spend there as I have a photo session that starts at 3:45pm but we'll get a chance to look over some stuff together.

We had a fun sales session with our client from Alaska last night.  The parents are both military and we gave them a nice discount as appreciation for their service.  Made us feel good to do so and they all loved the photos.  The Dad seemed a little stunned at how they turned out as he kept commenting on how good they were.

Well, we didn't get the Jeep back yet as they didn't get the front end alignment or the exhaust modification done yet.  We're told that should be done today.  Also, the light bar I wanted mounted on the front bumper apparently won't mount where I want it due to the winch and I didn't like their proposed alternative so back to the drawing board on that. 

Busy week ahead with four photo shoots and a sales session, plus I work my regular job on Saturday.  Jodi is back from her vacation and has several photo shoots to edit and a little catching up to do on other things.  It's good to have her home again but I know she needed a break and enjoyed herself.

I'm anxious to get the Jeep back and am hoping it is today so it's available for the weekend.  As of yesterday, the lift was done, tires and wheels were on, rear bumper and tire carrier were done and they were working on the front bumper, light bar and winch.  Not sure if the exhaust mod for driveshaft clearance had been done yet or the window tinting.  Jodi returns late Saturday so I hope it's in the garage for her when she pulls in. 

I've been keeping busy this week with photo shoots.  It's been pretty warm but we've done a pretty good job at keeping our clients cool and comfortable.  I have one more session tonight before a weekend break and then 4 more sessions next week.  I've been booking about a session a day this week so we are filling up the calendar, which is always a good thing. 

Yesterday I made the very wise choice to take down a tree in the front yard.  Jodi didn;t like how it blocked the view of our house from the street and the judgment of the builder for his placement of said tree was very questionable, but it's down.  Smart people would do a task like that on a much cooler day but with photo shoots the next three evenings and not much temperature relief in sight, I just went ahead and did it.  I dropped it right where I wanted it and the cleanup took a but but it's all cut up and ready to get dropped off at the city facility.  I was a sweaty mess and wiped out afterward, namely from the heat, but it is done.

I'm hoping the Jeep will be ready for pickup tomorrow.  The lift was done yesterday and the bumpers had arrived.  I think the wheels were coming from Houston so they may arrive today.  We settled on the Warn 8000s winch and I'm having them tint the windows too.  

The Jeep is at the shop and disassembly has already started.  It will take the better part of the week to get everything done to it but it should look pretty cool when we get it back.  Lift, wheels, tires, bumpers and an LED light bar on the front bumper are being installed.  That will take care of the lion's share of the work we intend to do to it.

 I did manage to do my first mod yesterday and that was paint some of the trim parts.  The dash vent trim rings, dash grab bar insert and the inserts on the doors are now red.  Easy to do and didn't take very long.  Here is the final product.

For the keen eyed observer, that is my mother in laws Chevy in the garage.  So now, a Jeep and Chevy are occupying our garage.  I told Jodi that something just isn't right about that!
