It’s a threat…For some people, every problem in life cries out for a big government solution. But oftentimes, the solution is worse than the problem. Everyone said that health care needed reforms. But most people now agree it didn’t need to be completely upended by a 2000-page bill that nobody read. Washington, DC’s, leaders protected the little guy by requiring Wal-Mart to pay half again more than the minimum wage. Wal-Mart responded by canceling plans to build several stores in DC, costing the little guy thousands of jobs and higher food bills. Polls showed 60 percent of Americans supported immigration reform. But a new Rasmussen poll found that only 39 percent support the bill the Senate just passed. Americans are starting to wise up to the fact that our current political leaders are like George Washington’s doctors: their cures are worse than the disease.
