The Eagles varsity baseball team took flight last night and brought home the first win for the program in their first game ever played. The team traveled to Raytown to take on the Cardinals in a 5pm contest on a warm and breezy day. JD took the mound for the Eagles and it was obvious he was a little amped up to start the game. A wild pitch gave the Cardinals a run in the first but that was all they would plate in the game. Outside a few infield singles, the Cardinals could not muster much offense as JD struck out 8 batters and all other outs recorded were infield ground balls.
The Eagles will be back in action tonight against Harrisonville followed by a Wednesday contest against Grandview.
